Description of the works

Remodelling of the tracks and platforms in the conventional gauge area of Chamartín Clara Campoamor station (tracks 1 to 14 in the southern concourses, northern concourse and the area between platforms) and the refurbishment of the old lower concourse with connections to platforms 1 to 7 and Metro de Madrid, including escalators and lifts.

These works, completed in 2023, have enabled the recovery of the old station concourse dating from the 1970s and abandoned for more than 30 years, making direct connection between the Suburban, High Speed and Metro networks possible, speeding up access and transfers for users.

This work has been key to ensuring the execution phases of the Chamartín Station extension and transformation project.
