Line 3 of the Seville Metro will connect the city from north to south, linking the neighbourhoods of Pino Montano and Los Bermejales via a modern transport infrastructure. The construction of approximately 1.5 km currently being carried out by Azvi between Los Mares and San Lázaro, will significantly improve mobility for thousands of residents in Seville’s Northern and Macarena districts, giving them direct access to the city centre in just a few minutes.

Description of works

Subsection II Los Mares – San Lázaro is fully underground, minimizing surface impact and enhancing urban integration. Along its 1.463 km route, Azvi will undertake the following:

Construction of a double-track tunnel using the cut-and-cover method between diaphragm walls.
Construction of two underground stations: Los Carteros and San Lázaro, both using the same cut-and-cover technique as the tunnel.
Slab track installation in both directions along the entire tunnel length.
Construction of the tunnel’s internal drainage system.
Civil engineering works.
Urban redevelopment of all areas affected by the works.
