Aim

The project provides the municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre with new, improved water supply sources. The area will be integrated into Malaga’s network, ensuring a better service.

Key elements of the project

  • Construction of a 10,000 m³ tank to regulate the flow of water supply from the Malaga network. A pipeline runs from this tank to a second, newly built 4,000m3 water distribution tank.
  • A 2.7km long, 400mm diameter, ductile cast iron pipeline.
  • A pumping station equipped with all the necessary safety measures, is designed to pump the necessary flow to the main Tomillares tank.
  • Installation of a remote-controlled system to fill the tanks and operate the pumping station with complete safety.
