Management System

Azvi is firmly committed to the implementation of BIM collaborative work tools in the company.

In line with its strategy and policy, the company has developed a BIM Data Management System which is certified according to the international standard UNE-EN ISO 19650 parts 1 and 2. The system covers the following scope:

  • Role: main contractor
  • Areas: Construction, Civil and Industrial engineering
  • BIM speciality: modeller, coordinator

Policy

Azvi intends to implement BIM methodology throughout the organization. The focus will be on improving all departments and directorates involved in any project by integrating BIM methodology in the processes that are necessary to achieve the following objectives:

  • Encourage information exchange and coordination among stakeholders, fostering increased collaboration.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and transfer between all teams in each project’s lifecycle including interoperability and mobility.
  • Foster innovation within the company to drive the development of new activities related to digital transformation.
  • Improve the company’s production processes (interference, timelines, costs, and predictive maintenance and conservation)
  • Explore opportunities associated with new emerging business models in the construction industry which require robust support for data management and digital models.
  • Facilitate the gathering and sharing of knowledge and lessons learned from the company’s processes.

Objectives

Azvi, in accordance with its BIM Information Management strategy and policy and considering the Analysis of the Environment, defines the following BIM Information Management objectives for the year 2024:

To achieve this, the specific goals are:

  • To increase staff training, carrying out at least three individual trainings linked to the BIM methodology.
  • Implement new automated processes to ensure traceability and accessibility to work teams in the exchange of information.
  • Improve knowledge management through the recording of Lessons Learned, at the end or during the execution of projects in which BIM methodology has been applied.

Vision and Strategy

The implementation of BIM methodology is a strategic factor within our corporate culture which ensures the company remains a key player in the railway, construction, and civil engineering sectors.

To achieve this objective, the specific goals are:

  • Provide the organization with a competitive edge to ensure a key position within the markets in which it operates.
  • Respond rapidly to changes within the market.
  • Improve operational efficiency and internal collaboration, fostering teamwork.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and digital transformation within the organization.

To realize these aims, our BIM strategy entails:

  • Providing an environment for information exchange which permits effective knowledge transfer among Azvi’s departments and with third parties such as project designers and subcontractors.
  • Extension of established BIM Uses by incorporating new areas of company activity.
  • Advocating for digital transformation in the construction sector.
  • Creating a Knowledge Base for projects, serving both operational and analytical purposes.
