Reinforcement of structures against dynamic actions by means of ductile cement-based composites with resistant vegetable fibre meshes

International technological cooperation project with entities from Mexico, subsidised by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI in its Spanish acronym) through the INNOGLOBAL 2018 call and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, with record no. UNI-20180014 and INNO-20182007.

The general objective of the REDUVE international project is to develop the necessary knowledge to implement a reinforcement system consisting of vegetable fibre textile meshes and a cement matrix that solves certain problems in the infrastructures caused by climate change. The solution is characterised by a high capacity of energy dissipation under dynamic effects and at a lower cost (economic and environmental) compared with traditional solutions with synthetic fibres.

Place and execution deadline: Andalusia (Spain), from January 2019 to June 2021.

Consortium: Azvi and Mapei (Mexico).
