The Grupo Azvi Foundation joins OPERATION KILO of the Seville Food Bank

The Grupo Azvi Foundation has joined Operation Kilo Spring that has been launched by the Seville Food Bank Foundation, with a contribution of 10,000 kilos of food that will be distributed among 280 collaborating entities, reaching a total of 50,000 beneficiaries.

During the signing of the agreement, the president of the Grupo Azvi Foundation, Manuel Contreras Ramos, praised the great work carried out by the Seville Food Bank Foundation for the benefit of society. Not only with the distribution of food, but they go further in their commitment, carrying out awareness-raising and education workshops on healthy eating to improve the diet and lifestyle habits of their beneficiaries; with the implementation of socio-labour reintegration programmes focused on especially vulnerable beneficiaries and placing value on the figure of volunteers as a lever for social change.

For his part, Agustín Vidal-Aragón, president of the Seville Food Bank, explained that, given the existing demands and those yet to come, it is necessary to continue carrying out these collection campaigns; and, above all, it is essential to have the support of companies as important as Grupo Azvi and its Foundation. Likewise, Vidal-Aragón wanted to thank the commitment acquired by the Grupo Azvi Foundation with the Food Bank throughout the year, assuring that, “with this contribution we are closer to reaching our objective, and with it, to be able to continue covering the food needs of the province of Seville”.

With this initiative, the Seville Food Bank is pursuing the goal of reaching 600,000 kilos of food to be able to continue providing food coverage to its beneficiaries over the coming months.

The channels set up by the Food Bank Foundation to collaborate in this Spring Operation Kilo are:

  • The website www.supersolidario.com, a system through which all donors can purchase basic food baskets or choose specific products. Through this donation system, donors have the possibility of requesting their donation tax certificate or becoming a regular donor of the foundation.
  • Donations in boxes in different distribution chains that will be participating throughout the campaign. You can currently do so at Supermercados El Jamón and Supermercados MAS until June 13.
  • Food collection campaigns in companies, schools and other organisations.
  • Other donation methods such as the bizum code 33495, choosing the option to make a donation or solidarity contribution; or different account numbers set up for the occasion.
